| The firm’s
multi-lingual, multi-cultural staff is uniquely equipped for,
and has extensive experience in the collection of accounts
outside the United States.
Our fluency in Spanish is paramount in the ability to communicate
effectively with creditors and debtors in Central and South
America and the Caribbean throughout the pre-litigation process.
Should the avenues to obtain recovery in an extra-judicial
manner be exhausted, the firm has enjoyed success by filing
suit pursuant to the terms of the Inter-American Convention
on Letters Rogatory. This treaty allows signatory nations
to effectuate service of process in the respective foreign
country in accordance with that country’s constitutional
demands. In addition, this treaty enables resident United
States based creditors the opportunity to file suit within
the United States and obtain a judgment that will be recognized
by the foreign defendant’s home country.
The firm’s attorney network permits a judgment creditor
to pursue post-judgment remedies with the assistance of counsel
in the foreign debtor’s jurisdiction.
